Azerbaijan's defense minister, Safir Abiyev, has told a French diplomat that Baku's patience is wearing thin with the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process, and that the resumption of armed conflict is growing increasingly likely.
"Azerbaijan cannot wait another 15 years [for a Karabakh settlement]," the Regnum news agency quoted Abiyev as telling French Ambassador Gabriel Keller on February 25. France is one of three countries, along with the United States and Russia, that chairs the OSCE's Minsk Group, which oversees the Karabakh peace process.
